Come for a coffee, discussion & a fresh take on life! Every week the number of people meeting with us is growing - and there’s room for you!

As well as Sundays we have a Housegroup Bible study on Thursdays which people seem to love, and Friday is football night - Dads, Mums and kids have an hour of mad, friendly football at some of the best 7-a-side pitches in Newcastle. Plus there is a whole series of one off events - come along and find out more or use our contacts.

We run regular Alpha Programmes that look at the big questions of life: “If God did exist what would you ask?” What is the point of life? What happens when we die? What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today?

The Alpha course is low key, friendly and fun. Why not join us for this series where no question is “un-askable” and maybe you can discover what “this God thing” is all about.

Please contact us to register and get venue details info@destinynewcastle.com

Make a connection

Christianity should be cool, happening and relevant to everyday life. Being firmly in the mainstream of Christian Churches, we also want our meetings to be accessible to people with little or no church connection - and most people love a tea or a coffee! Eldon Leisure, in Eldon Square (view map) gives a warm, relaxed environment to discuss and explore the teachings of Jesus Christ.

It's an action packed hour with looking at what the Bible says about how tvo live life to the full, with the opportunity to go or socialise at the end.

Starting with drinks, we catch up on what people have been up to, then look at some discussion questions as a way into looking at God’s Word. Its always a lively time with people throwing in comments, questions and a bit of general mayhem as we work towards what God has to say to us. If you want a formal or religious meeting you may find us quite relaxed! You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to and if you have to dash off at the end its cool. In practice we find people who come with no intension of joining in can’t help be caught up in the great atmosphere and enjoy expressing their opinions. Some recent comments from people coming along have included:

“Its so friendly”
“These are some of the warmest people I’ve ever met”
“I never thought it would be this fun”
“When I tell my friends I went to church on Sunday they can’t believe it and said ‘I didn’t think you were a church kind of person.’ But I just really enjoy coming.”

There is an opportunity for individual prayer at the end of each meeting, and we have seen God heal and help people, sometimes in dramatic ways.

If you’ve got kids they’ll love the music stuff and then have a time together to give the adults space to enjoy “their bit” of the meeting, before all coming together at the end. If you need to go with your kids to help them “settle in” and make sure they’re comfortable that’s fine.

People will often want to “do lunch” afterwards or go and explore some culture in the city, or maybe catch some Sunday afternoon football.....

group in the pubWho's going?

Students, singles, couples and kids - people from all walks of life are coming along. As we grow we are starting to see the diversity of Newcastle’s vibrant city life reflected in a multifaceted multi cultural church - Why not come and see if this is for you?

What’s your plan?

Growth is top of God’s agenda, and we aim to fill this venue and spread out using the Metro line as the connecting link to build multiple meetings across the region. There are 53 Metro Stations - we eventually want to see a church or group meeting at each one, plus a network fanning out along the bus routes. We want to grow big and grow small - so that people have great personal links but also can come together and enjoy large celebrations.
